World Premeire: Angels (Two Brief Poems for Organ)

The World Premiere of Dan’s Angels (Two Brief Poems for Organ) was presented on Monday, July 1 @ 8:00 PM by organist Alan Morrison as part of his concert at St. Rose of Lima Church, 300 E. Kings Highway in Haddon Heights, NJ. This event was part of the 2019 American Guild of Organists (AGO) Mid-Atlantic Regional Convention in nearby Cherry Hill, NJ –

The piece consists of two movements, Angels of Tranquility and Angels of Joy. Published by Subito Music, it was commissioned by the Mid-Atlantic 2019 Regional Convention of the American Guild of Organists, SouthWest and SouthEast Jersey Chapters, New Jersey for Mr. Morrison.

Alan Morrison is recognized as one of America’s premier concert organists and enjoys a versatile career as organist, teacher, recording artist, adjudicator and pianist/chamber musician. His concert performances throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Russia have all been received with enthusiastic praise for his quality programming, colorful use of the organ and interpretive integrity.
